Gold and White Thanksgiving Tablescape
While eating the meal is my favorite role of Thanksgiving, I do look forrard to designing a new tablescape each year. This year I put together a Gold and White Thanksgiving Tablescape. The place settings and decor was all either white or aureate and the florals provided additional pops of colour.
I mixed and matched items from iii of my favorite stores: W Elm, World Market, and Target. The behemothic gold vase is really a candle holder from Target. The gold chargers and wine glasses are both from World Market. The napkins and table runner came from West Elm.
The gold chargers were but $2.99 and they dress upward the place settings. They are made of lacquer, then they are lightweight and won't bit.
I never accept enough trivets, and they tin can exist surprisingly expensive. I happened to stumble across slices of wood in the arts and crafts section at Target, and they are simply $four.99 each. They gave the tabular array a rustic wait and functioned perfectly every bit trivets. My mom is having my begetter brand some wooden trivets using wood from a tree in the yard he had to chop downwards. (It's funny being a city dweller and buying things like slices of forest).
I admittedly loved this year'south floral organization. I mixed white decoration kale and orange roses with thistle, sage, some small white flowers, and some leafy filler flowers. I am not the biggest fan of roses, but the orange roses provided the perfect burst of autumn color, and a touch of formality.
Instead of making traditional identify cards, I tied some sage and greens together with a souvenir tag. Information technology would exist fun to exercise this with a mix of herbs that dinner guests tin take habitation and apply.
While I obviously program and photograph these Thanksgiving recipes and tablescape well before the actual holiday, I do transport most of the Tablescape elements, forth with fresh florals, with me to Maine for my family's Thanksgiving celebration.
